SecuChat

End-to-End Encrypted Cross-Platform Messenger

Cross-platform private messaging application published live on the Google Play Store (developer profile: Smiling Developer, package: com.developerik.secuchat). Implements ECDH asymmetric key exchange where private keys strictly never leave user devices.

OPINIONATED ARCHITECTURAL DECISION

Kept private keys strictly on-device with ECDH asymmetric key exchange rather than relying on server-mediated encryption keys.

WHAT I GOT WRONG & LESSONS LEARNED

Initial message sync architecture used polling Firestore snapshots, which created duplicate stream events and battery drain before migrating to clean BLoC stream subscriptions with local cache deduplication.

How I built this & what it delivers

Published live on Google Play Store under developer profile Smiling Developer (package: com.developerik.secuchat).
Implemented ECDH asymmetric encryption for end-to-end encryption of all chat sessions with keys generated and stored only on-device.
Architected using Flutter and the BLoC pattern for predictable state management across Android, iOS, Web, and Desktop.
Used Firebase Cloud Firestore for real-time message streaming with local caching redundancy.
Engineered custom FCM notification triggers that preserve message payload privacy.
